Today was the start of fall vacation (yay!). Patches and I got started on vacation a little early by spending Friday afternoon wandering on Nose Hill.
We’re not heading anywhere this year for break. In previous years we’ve been to Chicago and Invermere but this year I just felt a little travelled out. I’d really like some more time around the house after our busy summer so we scheduled a “stay-cation” instead of jetting off somewhere.
I usually make a list of things I’d like to see and do when we’re on vacation, so I thought it would be fitting to do the same thing for our vacation here at home. Here is my October vacation bucket list:
- Get my yard cleaned up
- Get out for a (final) outdoor ride
- Have a date night with my husband
- Complete something off my house repair list
- Take Patches hiking (he’s only been out once this year to the mountains)
There are lots of other things I’d like to accomplish but are more like chores so I’m not putting them on the list but I know I’ll be busy. The weather is looking good and I’m really looking forward to our week at home and feeling like we’re making progress around the house.
