Belize Travels: Snorkelling Caye Caulker

While on Caulker we really had two things we wanted to do – soak up some beach time and snorkel at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. With 4.5 days on the caye we had lots of time for both!

Our first snorkelling trip was a full day – three spots in Hol Chan in the morning, a stop at San Pedro on Caye Ambergris and then another stop in Hol Chan in the afternoon. Everywhere we stopped to snorkel was amazing – so many fish, shallow water and beautiful corals. We’d wanted to go see what San Pedro was like so this worked out well and allowed us to cross two things off our to-do list.

Our second trip was a couple of days later and we only went for a half-day. This meant just three stops at Hol Chan which was still tons of time in the water and lots of fish and corals.

If you’re on the cayes you must go snorkelling at least once (although twice was pretty nice!).
