We’ve just been puttering around since I returned from the north and things got cold. We both made it through another work week, and welcomed the weekend with open arms (my first in nearly 3 weeks). Relaxation has been the name of the game for the most part. Perhaps when the weather warms up again we’ll do something exciting.
Fridaywe ate Thai take out from the Chili Club Thai House – I liked the beef curry and coconut rice that Jon picked, but was a little disappointed with my pad thai.
Saturday morning we made lattes and headed into Bowness to the Sweet Home Bakery for some fresh cinnamon buns and onward to Bearspaw Dam for the dog walk. The bakery looks a little sketchy from outside but bakes delicious treats on the inside. Mmmm…. We also spent a couple hours trying to pick interior paint colours for our main floor. The woman at Benjamin Moore was absolutely wonderful and talked us through about 10 shades of grey before sending us home with some over sized paint chips. Sadly, I don’t think we’ve found the perfect colour and will be back for more advice next weekend.
We spent a large part of the day cleaning up all the drywall dust Jon created sanding while I was in Ft. M. As you can see, sanding can drive a man crazy… but cleaning it up drives his wife nuts.
Sunday has been mostly dog walking and laundry. Not terribly exciting, but some times you run out of socks and the mutt needs to go out… I also baked a pie.
